Featured Warhawk October 2019: Angelina McIntire

This interview features Angelina McIntire. In High School she maintained a 4.0, danced her heart out as a Pom and always had a smile on her face. You may remember her from her epic "Hawk Talk" profile... (Or just because she's so lovably memorable!)

25+ years later she is still smiling, married to her fun loving husband Piero, fur mama to Alejandro and is an inspirational friend to (literally) thousands of people. Since earning her undergraduate degree from Duke, a Masters from Georgetown and traveling to almost every country in the world, Angelina inspires those around her to be their best, kindest self.

How would you describe your life in 10 words or less?

I live to love, travel, dance, and play with Alejandro!

Would you rather win an Olympic medal, an Academy Award or the Nobel Peace Prize?

Nobel Peace Prize for sure - world peace all the way. :)

If you could spend the day with any Warhawk, past or present, who would it be and why?

Hmmm, that is a tough one. Can I say Jen (Blalock)? I would love to spend another day with her.

What’s on the top of your bucket list?

Hard to say as I have done just about everything on my bucket list! Probably just whatever my next trip is, which happens to be Northern Ireland with Kelsi Brown Corkran, Jen Andrews Klein, and another friend this Thursday.

What JMHS teacher or coach made the biggest impact in your life and how?

You know, I haven’t thought much about high school teachers. I guess honestly would say my guidance counselor Dr. Askounis, because she was so encouraging of me applying to Duke and as you know that place is one of the greatest loves of my life.
